In short: the difference
First in the pair, Gate, is an early-listing venue. On the market since 2013, jurisdiction: Panama, its own GT token.
Second in the pair, LBank, is an exchange with thousands of pairs. On the market since 2015, jurisdiction: British Virgin Islands, its own LBK token.
What Gate gives you
Against an early-listing venue, Gate plays a different game: One of the oldest venues, running since 2013, and first in our coverage for withdrawal networks: twenty-four for USDT alone. Two thousand spot pairs and a thousand perpetuals. There is P2P, savings and staking, Startup launches, copy trading, bots and its own GT token with fee discounts.
Strong sides: 24 USDT withdrawal networks, more than anyone, 2000 spot pairs, running since 2013.
What LBank gives you
Early listings are not the only argument; LBank answers with its own: One of the elder Asian venues, running since 2015. Eight hundred and thirty perpetuals and a broad P2P across dozens of currencies — stronger than many of its contemporaries on both counts. There is savings, staking and its own LBK token. The exchange is known for early listings: new coins land here before the majors.
Strong sides: 830 perpetuals, a broad P2P, early listings, running since 2015.
What decides it
- Jurisdiction. Gate sits in Panama, LBank in British Virgin Islands. It shapes both the checks you pass and what the venue has to disclose.
- Native tokens. Gate has GT, LBank has LBK: holders usually get fee discounts and access to launches.
- Strengths side by side. Gate: 24 USDT withdrawal networks, more than anyone, 2000 spot pairs, running since 2013; LBank: 830 perpetuals, a broad P2P, early listings, running since 2015.
- Which job. Gate is for anyone who values freedom of choice when moving coins between chains, while LBank is for funding, P2P and finding fresh coins.
- Worth remembering. Gate: the interface is dense with sections: finding the right one takes a while. LBank: we do not show it in cross-exchange spot arbitrage: it serves its book one pair per request.
Which one fits you
Gate — for anyone who values freedom of choice when moving coins between chains.
LBank — for funding, P2P and finding fresh coins.
What people ask most
Gate: Are there many coins? One of the widest listings on the market, comparable to MEXC. As there, breadth calls for caution: check a pair's volume before trading.
Gate: What does the GT token give me? A fee discount and access to exchange programmes, including early sales.
LBank: Why can’t I withdraw coins bought on P2P right away? The exchange holds them for twenty-four hours after the order completes, protecting against payment reversal. The clock starts when the order closes. For arbitrage that is decisive: the spread will be gone within a day.
LBank: Why is LBank absent from your cross-exchange spot arbitrage? It serves its order book one symbol per request — every pair would take over a thousand calls per cycle. And the last-trade price it does serve as a list is not a price you can buy at, so spreads derived from it would be fictional.
LBank: Does LBank appear in your futures sections? Yes. It has over eight hundred perpetuals and publishes funding for all of them, so LBank takes part in our funding section on equal footing.
Both at once
Nothing stops you from opening an account on both: it is free, and a pair of venues almost always beats any single one on price. Both are kept for early listings: which venue gets the ticker you need is not known in advance, and signing up costs nothing.
Live numbers
Everything in the table above is recomputed together with the rest of the site — pairs, contracts, P2P, networks and the withdrawal fee. Gate and LBank can be compared on facts rather than promises.
