MEXC vs WEEX

MEXC collects new coins, WEEX collects leverage and contracts. Different jobs, usually done on different venues.

Compared by the numbers

Everything below is read from the platforms directly. We leave volume out by choice — the methods differ too much for an honest comparison. And the P2P row measures our own scanner’s reach, not the exchange’s full currency list.

In short: the difference

First in the pair, MEXC, is an exchange with thousands of pairs. On the market since 2018, jurisdiction: Seychelles, its own MX token.

Second in the pair, WEEX, is a derivatives terminal. On the market since 2018, jurisdiction: Singapore, its own WXT token.

What MEXC gives you

The terminal is strong on contracts, but MEXC has its own ground: The early-listing venue: fifteen hundred spot pairs and over a thousand perpetuals, among the broadest we cover. New coins land here before they reach the majors. There is P2P, savings and staking, Kickstarter launches and copy trading. The spot maker fee is zero, and USDT withdrawals on Plasma are free.

Strong sides: a zero maker fee, free withdrawals on Plasma, early listings, 1500 spot pairs.

What WEEX gives you

Against an early-listing venue, WEEX plays a different game: A young venue that grew fast: seventeen hundred spot pairs and a thousand perpetuals, more than many long-established names. There is P2P in dozens of currencies, copy trading, savings and its own WXT token. The exchange is known for the user protection fund it holds publicly.

Strong sides: 1700 spot pairs and 1000 contracts, a broad P2P, a public protection fund.

What decides it

  • Jurisdiction. MEXC sits in Seychelles, WEEX in Singapore. It shapes both the checks you pass and what the venue has to disclose.
  • Native tokens. MEXC has MX, WEEX has WXT: holders usually get fee discounts and access to launches.
  • Strengths side by side. MEXC: a zero maker fee, free withdrawals on Plasma, early listings, 1500 spot pairs; WEEX: 1700 spot pairs and 1000 contracts, a broad P2P, a public protection fund.
  • Which job. MEXC is for anyone chasing new coins and working from a wide list, while WEEX is for anyone who needs a wide choice of pairs and a live P2P in their currency.
  • Worth remembering. MEXC: among thousands of pairs many are very thin: check the book before size. WEEX: eleven withdrawal networks — fewer than the largest venues.

Which one fits you

MEXC — for anyone chasing new coins and working from a wide list.

WEEX — for anyone who needs a wide choice of pairs and a live P2P in their currency.

What people ask most

MEXC: Is the spot fee really zero? Zero for the maker — an order that rests in the book and fills. Buying at market makes you a taker, paying the normal rate, though one of the lowest around.

MEXC: Can I trade without verification? Spot is available with daily withdrawal limits. Lifting them, and P2P, require verification.

WEEX: Where is P2P on WEEX? At /buy-crypto, not /p2p — the expected link leads nowhere. Our rates and route sections pull WEEX ads automatically.

WEEX: How long does a deposit take? Usually around ten minutes, followed by a notification in the app and by email. If it takes longer, first check in a block explorer that the transaction is confirmed — until then the exchange cannot see it.

WEEX: Which network is cheapest for USDT withdrawals? Not TRON, contrary to habit: it is the dearest on WEEX, and layer-two networks come in more than ten times cheaper. Exact figures per network are in the table at the top of this page, since they change.

Both at once

You do not have to pick one. Two accounts give you a fallback when the coin or network you need exists only on the other venue. The coin is bought where it already trades, moved across and shorted with a contract on the other — that locks the price while the transfer runs.

Live numbers

The table above is built from our own market snapshots: USDT pairs, perpetual contracts, P2P ads and currencies, withdrawal networks and the cheapest one. MEXC and WEEX can be compared on facts rather than promises.

What the numbers say

Spot comes out level — about 1,588 USDT pairs either way. Perpetuals end level — about 1,039 on each. For USDT withdrawals MEXC offers 16 networks and WEEX offers 11; one extra chain is sometimes the whole saving. MEXC asks less to move USDT — 0.0001 over AVALANCHE; WEEX comes to 0.10 POLYGON. P2P coverage is wider on WEEX: 89 currencies against 52 on MEXC.
