In short: the difference
MEXC is an exchange with thousands of pairs. On the market since 2018, jurisdiction: Seychelles, its own MX token.
WhiteBIT is a venue with direct fiat. On the market since 2018, jurisdiction: Lithuania, its own WBT token.
What MEXC gives you
Against a regulated venue, MEXC wins on other things: The early-listing venue: fifteen hundred spot pairs and over a thousand perpetuals, among the broadest we cover. New coins land here before they reach the majors. There is P2P, savings and staking, Kickstarter launches and copy trading. The spot maker fee is zero, and USDT withdrawals on Plasma are free.
Strong sides: a zero maker fee, free withdrawals on Plasma, early listings, 1500 spot pairs.
What WhiteBIT gives you
Early listings are not the only argument; WhiteBIT answers with its own: A European venue with Ukrainian roots, registered in Lithuania. Its defining trait is money without USDT in the middle: ninety-two euro pairs and sixteen hryvnia ones, a combination nothing else here offers. There is spot, almost four hundred perpetuals, P2P, staking and savings, a launchpad and its own WBT token, which sits in the market top twenty by capitalisation.
Strong sides: 92 euro pairs and 16 hryvnia ones, European registration, a 0.1% fee, WBT in the top 20.
What decides it
- Jurisdiction. MEXC sits in Seychelles, WhiteBIT in Lithuania. It shapes both the checks you pass and what the venue has to disclose.
- Native tokens. MEXC has MX, WhiteBIT has WBT: holders usually get fee discounts and access to launches.
- Strengths side by side. MEXC: a zero maker fee, free withdrawals on Plasma, early listings, 1500 spot pairs; WhiteBIT: 92 euro pairs and 16 hryvnia ones, European registration, a 0.1% fee, WBT in the top 20.
- Which job. MEXC is for anyone chasing new coins and working from a wide list, while WhiteBIT is for settling directly in euro and hryvnia without USDT in between.
- Worth remembering. MEXC: among thousands of pairs many are very thin: check the book before size. WhiteBIT: USDT withdrawals cost more than on the largest venues — compare networks if you move often.

What people ask most
MEXC: Is MEXC good for arbitrage? For same-venue arbitrage, yes, thanks to the zero maker fee. For cross-venue you must watch volume: on thin pairs a visible price gap is often unfillable.
MEXC: Why does MEXC list so many coins? It deliberately chose an early-listing strategy. That is its main distinction and its main risk: real projects sit next to pairs turning over a thousand dollars a day.
WhiteBIT: What does it cost to withdraw USDT? One USDT on almost any network: TRON, BSC, Solana, Polygon, Arbitrum and the rest. Only Ethereum (0.4) and Plasma (0.1) are cheaper. That is noticeably dearer than the large competitors, and it tells on frequent transfers.
WhiteBIT: Why is WhiteBIT missing from your P2P sections? There is no programmatic access to its P2P ads: the section is not among the open ones in its documentation, and the page is behind bot protection. P2P does work on the exchange, but we cannot take the data from it.
WhiteBIT: Where is the exchange registered? In Lithuania, running since 2018, founded by Ukrainians. That European registration sets it apart from most venues we cover, which are registered offshore.
Both at once
Nothing stops you from opening an account on both: it is free, and a pair of venues almost always beats any single one on price. Fiat comes in through the regulated venue, while a small sum sits on the early-listing one for new coins: the money arrives clean and the tickers do not pass you by.
Live numbers
The figures above do not come from marketing pages: we compute them from the same market snapshots as the rest of the site. MEXC and WhiteBIT can be compared on facts rather than promises.
What the numbers say
Spot is wider on MEXC: 1,505 USDT pairs against 328, a gap of 4.6×. The futures list runs longer on MEXC: 1,077, against 396. USDT leaves MEXC over 16 networks and WhiteBIT over 12: the wider the choice, the easier a cheap bridge is to find. MEXC asks less to move USDT — 0.0001 over AVALANCHE; WhiteBIT comes to 0.40 ETH. Of the pair, only MEXC feeds our P2P scanner, 52 currencies.
