In short: the difference
KuCoin is an exchange that covers several jobs at once. On the market since 2017, jurisdiction: Seychelles, its own KCS token.
WEEX is an exchange with a strong futures side. On the market since 2018, jurisdiction: Singapore, its own WXT token.
What KuCoin gives you
The terminal is strong on contracts, but KuCoin has its own ground: The venue known for its trading bots: grid, DCA and arbitrage bots are configured right in the interface, with no third-party service. Alongside that, spot across eight hundred-plus pairs, perpetual futures, P2P, savings and staking under Earn, Spotlight launches and copy trading. Nineteen networks for USDT withdrawals.
Strong sides: built-in trading bots, 800+ spot pairs, 19 withdrawal networks, a broad P2P.
What WEEX gives you
Compared with an ecosystem, WEEX leans on its own strengths: A young venue that grew fast: seventeen hundred spot pairs and a thousand perpetuals, more than many long-established names. There is P2P in dozens of currencies, copy trading, savings and its own WXT token. The exchange is known for the user protection fund it holds publicly.
Strong sides: 1700 spot pairs and 1000 contracts, a broad P2P, a public protection fund.
What decides it
- Jurisdiction. KuCoin sits in Seychelles, WEEX in Singapore. It shapes both the checks you pass and what the venue has to disclose.
- Native tokens. KuCoin has KCS, WEEX has WXT: holders usually get fee discounts and access to launches.
- Strengths side by side. KuCoin: built-in trading bots, 800+ spot pairs, 19 withdrawal networks, a broad P2P; WEEX: 1700 spot pairs and 1000 contracts, a broad P2P, a public protection fund.
- Which job. KuCoin is for anyone who wants to automate trading without writing code, while WEEX is for anyone who needs a wide choice of pairs and a live P2P in their currency.
- Worth remembering. KuCoin: USDT withdrawals cost more than on neighbouring venues — compare networks before moving. WEEX: eleven withdrawal networks — fewer than the largest venues.
Which one fits you
KuCoin — for anyone who wants to automate trading without writing code.
WEEX — for anyone who needs a wide choice of pairs and a live P2P in their currency.
What people ask most
KuCoin: What is KCS? The exchange own token. It discounts fees and pays daily distributions from part of the venue fee income — the latter is uncommon among exchange tokens.
KuCoin: How do the built-in bots work? The grid bot earns on swings inside a set range, DCA averages the entry, the arbitrage bot captures the gap between spot and futures. All configured with a mouse, no code and no third-party services.
KuCoin: How many coins are here? More than eight hundred spot pairs — KuCoin sits comfortably in the top five by listing, and many coins got their first serious book here.
WEEX: How do I fund a WEEX account? Under Assets choose Deposit, then the coin and the network, and send to the address shown. The network must match the one you send from: a network mismatch is the most common way to lose coins, and the exchange warns about it separately in its own guide.
WEEX: How long does a deposit take? Usually around ten minutes, followed by a notification in the app and by email. If it takes longer, first check in a block explorer that the transaction is confirmed — until then the exchange cannot see it.
WEEX: How do I withdraw? Under the same Assets section choose Withdraw, then the coin, network and destination address. The fee depends on the network, not the amount, so splitting a withdrawal into parts is a straight loss.
Both at once
Keeping both costs less than it seems: signing up is free, and a choice of two quotes usually beats one. Spot and earn stay on the ecosystem, contracts on the terminal. Moving between them costs pennies on the right network.
Live numbers
The figures above do not come from marketing pages: we compute them from the same market snapshots as the rest of the site. KuCoin and WEEX can be compared on facts rather than promises.
