In short: the difference
First in the pair, WEEX, is an exchange with a strong futures side. On the market since 2018, jurisdiction: Singapore, its own WXT token.
Second in the pair, WhiteBIT, is a venue with direct fiat. On the market since 2018, jurisdiction: Lithuania, its own WBT token.
What WEEX gives you
Against a regulated venue, WEEX wins on other things: A young venue that grew fast: seventeen hundred spot pairs and a thousand perpetuals, more than many long-established names. There is P2P in dozens of currencies, copy trading, savings and its own WXT token. The exchange is known for the user protection fund it holds publicly.
Strong sides: 1700 spot pairs and 1000 contracts, a broad P2P, a public protection fund.
What WhiteBIT gives you
The terminal is strong on contracts, but WhiteBIT has its own ground: A European venue with Ukrainian roots, registered in Lithuania. Its defining trait is money without USDT in the middle: ninety-two euro pairs and sixteen hryvnia ones, a combination nothing else here offers. There is spot, almost four hundred perpetuals, P2P, staking and savings, a launchpad and its own WBT token, which sits in the market top twenty by capitalisation.
Strong sides: 92 euro pairs and 16 hryvnia ones, European registration, a 0.1% fee, WBT in the top 20.
What decides it
- Jurisdiction. WEEX sits in Singapore, WhiteBIT in Lithuania. It shapes both the checks you pass and what the venue has to disclose.
- Native tokens. WEEX has WXT, WhiteBIT has WBT: holders usually get fee discounts and access to launches.
- Strengths side by side. WEEX: 1700 spot pairs and 1000 contracts, a broad P2P, a public protection fund; WhiteBIT: 92 euro pairs and 16 hryvnia ones, European registration, a 0.1% fee, WBT in the top 20.
- Which job. WEEX is for anyone who needs a wide choice of pairs and a live P2P in their currency, while WhiteBIT is for settling directly in euro and hryvnia without USDT in between.
- Worth remembering. WEEX: eleven withdrawal networks — fewer than the largest venues. WhiteBIT: USDT withdrawals cost more than on the largest venues — compare networks if you move often.
Which one fits you
WEEX — for anyone who needs a wide choice of pairs and a live P2P in their currency.
WhiteBIT — for settling directly in euro and hryvnia without USDT in between.
What people ask most
WEEX: Do I need an API key for you to show WEEX data? No. The exchange serves all market data publicly, and our scanner works without keys and without access to anyone’s account.
WEEX: Is WEEX worth it for arbitrage? As a source of divergence, yes: the books are thinner than at large venues and prices stray from the market more often.
WEEX: Which network is cheapest for USDT withdrawals? Not TRON, contrary to habit: it is the dearest on WEEX, and layer-two networks come in more than ten times cheaper. Exact figures per network are in the table at the top of this page, since they change.
WhiteBIT: Where is the exchange registered? In Lithuania, running since 2018, founded by Ukrainians. That European registration sets it apart from most venues we cover, which are registered offshore.
WhiteBIT: What is WBT? The exchange's own token. It grants fee discounts and access to the exchange's programmes. It ranks fifteenth on the market by capitalisation, unusually high for an exchange token.
WhiteBIT: Why is WhiteBIT missing from your P2P sections? There is no programmatic access to its P2P ads: the section is not among the open ones in its documentation, and the page is behind bot protection. P2P does work on the exchange, but we cannot take the data from it.
Both at once
Most people end up keeping both: one for daily trades, the other for what the first one lacks. Euro or hryvnia comes in on the regulated venue, moves as a stablecoin to the terminal, and the position opens there. Withdrawals take the same road back.
Live numbers
Everything in the table above is recomputed together with the rest of the site — pairs, contracts, P2P, networks and the withdrawal fee. WEEX and WhiteBIT can be compared on facts rather than promises.
What the numbers say
The spot lists differ by 5.1× — 1,671 USDT pairs on WEEX, 328 on the other side. Derivatives go to WEEX: 1,000 perpetuals against 396. WhiteBIT lists 12 networks for USDT, WEEX lists 11 — that is freedom of route when you move funds. The cheapest chain for USDT sits on WEEX: POLYGON at 0.10, where WhiteBIT charges 0.40 ETH. Of the pair, only WEEX feeds our P2P scanner, 89 currencies.
