What is the USDT to Brazilian real rate today?
Current buy and sell prices across six exchanges are in the table above and refresh automatically every few minutes. There is no single rate: each venue has its own, which is why we show all of them.
Where is the best place to buy USDT for BRL?
The real appears on five venues, with half the ads on Bybit and a fifth on OKX. But read the price together with the ad limits: the lowest price is often available only for a small amount.
Why do real prices differ between exchanges?
On P2P the price is set by the merchant, not the exchange. The difference depends on how many sellers work on a venue and how actively that venue serves Brazil. Brazil is the rare case where the premium over the official rate sits near zero and often goes negative.
Is this the official rate?
No. The official rate is published by BCB and shown separately on this page alongside the premium. The table carries real ads posted by people, which always differ from it.
The BRL market: what to know
Brazil runs almost entirely on PIX, the central bank instant transfer system that works around the clock for free. There are fewer real ads than rupee or lira ones, but they fill quickly. The USDT rate against the real usually stays close to official: there are no capital controls, and arbitrage levels the difference fast.
Where the real trades
The real appears on five venues, with half the ads on Bybit and a fifth on OKX. Around three hundred ads in total — modest, but more than the manat or som, and enough to keep the price close to fair value.
How this market works in practice
Brazil is the rare case where the premium over the official rate sits near zero and often goes negative. The reason is the absence of capital controls: dollars are legally available, there is no demand for workarounds, and arbitrage erases the difference quickly. In practice that means there is no premium to earn here — the market is interesting for the speed of PIX settlement rather than for the rate.
Payment methods
The real market mostly runs on: PIX, Nubank, Itaú. The payment rail moves the price as much as the venue does, and the full P2P scanner lets you filter ads by method. How to read ad limits, and why a visible spread differs from a real one, is covered in the lesson on spreads.
The premium over the BCB rate
The premium shows whether a dollar costs more or less inside the country than the regulator says. For Brazil it is one of the most honest indicators of the real rate, because it is built from thousands of live trades rather than a published figure.
