What is the USDT to US dollar rate today?
Current buy and sell prices across six exchanges are in the table above and refresh automatically every few minutes. There is no single rate: each venue has its own, which is why we show all of them.
Where is the best place to buy USDT for USD?
The dollar is the largest market we track: more ads than any other currency, spread across all six venues. But read the price together with the ad limits: the lowest price is often available only for a small amount.
Why do dollar prices differ between exchanges?
On P2P the price is set by the merchant, not the exchange. The difference depends on how many sellers work on a venue and how actively that venue serves US and international. This makes comparing dollar ads on price alone meaningless.
Is this the official rate?
No. The official rate is published by Fed and shown separately on this page alongside the premium. The table carries real ads posted by people, which always differ from it.
The USD market: what to know
The dollar is a special case on P2P: USDT is pegged one to one, so in theory the rate should be exactly 1.00. In practice it swings between 0.97 and 1.10, and that difference reflects the cost of the payment method rather than the price of the dollar — Wise, Zelle and cash each carry different fees and different reversal risk. That is why dollar spreads look wide: you are paying for the rail, not the currency.
Where the dollar trades
The dollar is the largest market we track: more ads than any other currency, spread across all six venues. Over sixty percent sit on Binance and about a quarter on Bybit. Behind that number hides an important detail: "dollar" on P2P covers wildly different settlement methods — from a bank wire to cash in person — and prices differ more between those than between exchanges.
How this market works in practice
This makes comparing dollar ads on price alone meaningless. A rate of 1.10 on a cash deal in another country and 1.00 on a Wise transfer are not better and worse — they are different operations with different risk and different speed. Look at the payment method, and whether it is physically available to you, before looking at the number.
Payment methods
The dollar market mostly runs on: Wise, Revolut, Zelle, SWIFT. The payment rail moves the price as much as the venue does, and the full P2P scanner lets you filter ads by method. How to read ad limits, and why a visible spread differs from a real one, is covered in the lesson on spreads.
The premium over the Fed rate
The premium shows whether a dollar costs more or less inside the country than the regulator says. For US and international it is one of the most honest indicators of the real rate, because it is built from thousands of live trades rather than a published figure.
